WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN
NUMBER COLOUR GUIDE
Key insight: Each number tells you exactly how many of the 8 surrounding cells contain mines. Use multiple numbers together to deduce which cells are safe and which are deadly.
Example: A 1 surrounded by 7 revealed cells and 1 unrevealed = that unrevealed cell IS a mine. Flag it!

CORNER OPENER
Always start by clicking a corner or edge. Corners only touch 3 cells, giving you the most information with least risk. If it cascades — perfect start!

USE THE BORDER PATTERN
Look for cells where the number equals the count of remaining unrevealed neighbors — those unrevealed cells are all mines. Flag them all. Then other numbers may become solvable.

MINE COUNTER
The red counter at top shows unflagged mines remaining. As you flag, this decreases. When it hits zero, every unrevealed cell is safe — reveal them all!

WHEN TO GUESS
Sometimes there's no safe move — you must guess. Pick cells with the fewest adjacent mines (edges/corners of uncertain regions). Embrace the risk!
